Lake Vyrnwy is nearby , or if you fancy a bit of shopping Shrewsbury and Chester are within easy reach. Our nearest town is Oswestry which has a market day on Wednesday. We are a family run business who run the local Post Office/village shop and are now offering Bed and Breakfast again. Jollys has been operating for over 100 years and is part of the charm of Goodrich village. Jollys is in the centre of Goodrich and lies at the entrance to Goodrich Castle. The Smithy’s set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of the Tanat Valley, right on the Shropshire/Welsh border. It’s a perfect place to unwind and relax. An ideal location for bird watching, fishing, walking, mountain biking or just marvel at the breathtaking views. There are Lakes, Waterfalls and Castles nearby. The former Smithy was built circa. 1830. It was used as a blacksmith and served the needs for the surrounding area. The Smithy has been beautifully renovated and converted to provide bright and airy accommodation. A mix of old and new makes this a charming place.
